This is my version of the baktus. I did it crochet because many people were doing it knitted. I didn’t see a crochet version so I went to work. This is my finish project.
This is my version of a Crochet Baktus scarf or kerchief.
If you would like ridges crochet in the back loops only!
Finger weight yarn
Size C crochet hook
Needle for weaving in ends.
Sc in 2nd & 3rd ch (2sc) ch1 turn
R1 Sc across, ch1 turn
R2 Sc across, ch1 turn
R3 Sc across, ch1 turn
R4 2Sc next st, sc across, ch1 turn
Repeat rows R1-R4, until 24 st.
R5 Sc across, ch1 turn
R6 2Sc next st, sc across, ch1 turn
Repeat R5-6 until 70 st.
Decrease (done on opposite side from increase)
R7 Sc to last 2 st, dec, ch1 turn
R8 sc across ch1 turn
Repeat until you have 24 st.
R9 Sc to last 2 st, dec, ch1 turn
R10 sc across ch1 turn
R11 sc across ch 1
R12 sc arcoss ch1
Repeat R9-R12 until you get one st .
On all sides sc crochet around.
Weave in all ends.
